About DR. R R Kasliwal

Son of Professor (Col.) Dr. R. M. Kasliwal M.D., F.R.C.P. (London), F.N.A., F.A.M.S. (India), F.I.I.C.S. (London), F.C.C.P., F.A.I.A.P., F.I.C.A. (U.S.A.), who was Professor of Medicine for over 30 years and Principal & Dean of Swai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur for over 17 years. Director of Medical and Health Services of Rajasthan, Dr. Kasliwal served in the Army in I.M.S. for 11 years and also participated in the freedom movement of our country as a member of the Indian National Army where he served in various capacities including D.M.S. Azad Hind Fauj and personal physician to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. For this role he was awarded TAMRA PATRA by the Prime Minister of India.

Dr. R. M. Kasliwal also received the B.C. Roy National Award in 1972. He had more than 275 publications. He was a teacher of teachers.

VISION

To continue to train budding cardiologists for India (and abroad) to fight the growing menace of Cardiovascular Diseases.

To develop Non-invasive Imaging techniques for prediction and early detection of cardiovascular disease.

To integrate clinical cardiology and echocardiography in a single specialty to help clinical decision making from the community level, to the out patients setting, to critical care and the operating room .

Director Deptt. Of Cardiology, Community Outreach and Academics at the Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi. Established Diplomate National Board Cardiology (D.N.B.) and Post Graduate Diploma in Community Cardiology (PGDCC – by Indira Gandhi National Open University) at EHIRC.

2007 – Onwards

1) Chairman, Clinical & Preventive Cardiology, Community Outreach Program and Teaching Program, Medanta the Medicity.
2) Expertise in the newer nuance of Echocardiography: 3DTEE-Speckle tracking-vortex imaging and Reversal of Coronary Artery Disease.
